Cet immeuble de style Art D\u00e9co de 1925 fait face au golf 18 trous de Saint-Cast qui longe la magnifique plage de Pen Guen, distante d\u2019une centaine de m\u00e8tres. L\u2019appartement est situ\u00e9 en rez-de-chauss\u00e9e sur\u00e9lev\u00e9 et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019une tr\u00e8s belle vue sur la mer et les \u00eeles environnantes. Mais Le Celtic ne fut pas toujours une r\u00e9sidence, ce fut autrefois un h\u00f4tel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The apartment is located in the Residence Le Celtic, an emblematic building of Saint-Cast le Guildo (pronounced Saint K). This Art Deco style building from 1926 faces the Saint-Cast golf course (18 holes) which runs along the magnificent beach of Pen Guen, a hundred meters away. The apartment is located on the raised ground floor and enjoys a beautiful view of the sea and the surrounding islands. But Le Celtic was not always a residence, it was once a hotel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Celtic H\u00f4tel fut en effet construit vers 1925 dans le plus pur style Art d\u00e9co par l’architecte Marcel Oudin, \u00e9galement concepteur d’immeubles bien connus comme le Club House du golf de Dinard, ou encore le Gallic Hotel de Dinard, qui h\u00e9berge aujourd’hui l’Office de Tourisme de cette m\u00eame ville. Le b\u00e2timent sera par la suite flanqu\u00e9 de deux extensions au nord et au sud, puis r\u00e9hauss\u00e9 de deux \u00e9tages suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Celtic Hotel was built around 1925 in the purest Art Deco style by the architect Marcel Oudin, who also designed well-known buildings such as the Club House of the Dinard golf course, or the Gallic Hotel in Dinard, which now houses the Tourist Office of the same city. The building will then be flanked by two extensions to the north and south, then enhanced by two additional floors.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s la deuxi\u00e8me guerre, l’h\u00f4tel est transform\u00e9 en r\u00e9sidence. Les grandes salles communes de l’h\u00f4tel (salle \u00e0 manger, salon de conversation, grand salon, etc.) laiss\u00e8rent alors place \u00e0 de spacieux appartements, dont fait partie cette location, aux volumes imposants, qui furent m\u00eame agenc\u00e9s fa\u00e7on duplex, tant la hauteur sous plafond s’y pr\u00eatait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the Second World War, the hotel was transformed into a residence. The hotel’s large common rooms (dining room, conversation room, large lounge, etc.) then gave way to spacious apartments, of which this rental is a part, with imposing volumes, which were even arranged in a duplex style, as the ceiling height lent itself to it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
